The regatta, which got off to a light air start, delivered challenging, breezy conditions for Sunday’s four races.
Morgan sailed a very consistent regatta, clinching the title prior to the seventh and final race of the championship.
Thanks to the 75+ Noroton volunteers - a hallmark of our club - who made the event such a success, including regatta co-chairs Michael Rudnick and Janet Grapengeter (who crewed for their daughter, Megan, and finished 8th).

During the Regatta Dinner US Sailing’s Adult Sailing Director Betsy Alison Betsy Alison awarded Gene Hinkel, The Sonar Class Chief Measurer, with the prestigious US Sailing President's Award for his lifetime of dedication to the sport, the Sonar Class and in particular, his leadership in adapting Sonars and other classes for Paralympic Sailing.
